5 Ways To Flatter Your Figure - And Why You Should Invest Now

Would you strip off now?

No?

You should. The right lingerie can make a world of difference to your look and your mood - and whatever you are wearing today, you should take inspiration from M&S and strip it off.

The New Ad

Marks and Spencers are used to causing a storm with their adverts, but this time they are making headlines for all the right reasons. It seems they've finally worked out how to set buyers worlds on fire -

Flattering, gorgeous underwear + comfortable, confident models = lingerie that everyone      wants.

M&S have stepped away from their favourite celebrities such as Myleene Klass, and instead have recruited a bunch of everyday women to show off their figures. Ranging from size 8 to size 16, age 22 to 48, there is a shape that everyone will identify with.

But What Does It Mean For You?

So if you answered no to stripping off, it's time to take action. Whether it's something chic, vintage styled or shapewear, you need underwear that makes you feel as amazing on the outside as you are on the inside. And lingerie shopping is one of my favourite activities!

Chic

Bra £65 and brief £38 from ASOS

Okay, so this is an investment piece - but Elle Macpherson Intimates pieces are very well made, and they are perfect for making you feel feminine and chic. Neutral colours such as this beige shade can be worn under any outfit, and the lacy detail is gorgeous without being too fiddly. There's plenty of different brief styles too.

Quirky

Bra £36 and short with suspender belt £28 at ASOS.

Want something a little different in your lingerie drawer? This Ultimo set is perfect. It's comfortable and supportive - whilst being just a little bit naughty. And the suspenders look gorgeous under a pencil skirt! Just make sure you plan your neckline carefully (and have a red lipstick on hand to finish the look!).

Printed

Bra £20 and brief £8 at ASOS

This piece is perfect for completing a retro-inspired outfit, or just adding a touch of pattern to any look. The dark colours keep it modern and adult, whilst the bra is the perfect shape for giving you a boost - and it's comfortable too! I love the lace detail, and the tiny pink bows - keep make-up natural for a country-girl look.

Wild

Bra £29.50 and brief £10 from Marks and Spencer.

This slinky set is part of a collection designed by Australian designer Collette Dinigan. Combining classic animal print with feminine black lace and flattering cuts, this is a vintage-inspired piece that will suit any figure. The bra comes in a variety of styles, from this boost bra with extra padding to a slightly padded and unpadded version, and it's perfect for wearing under any outfit to let out your wild side.

Longline

Bra £17.50 and brief £12 from Marks and Spencer
It's getting colder outside, so look great and cover up more with a striking longline bra. The contemporary rose print is striking yet classic, and I love the monochrome style - broken only by the cute red bows. A supportive shape and comfortable fit make this the ideal choice for wearing under your winter clothes.

You can never have too much underwear, so invest in some well-fitting, comfortable and stylish staples now- it'll do a world of good to your wardrobe, and to your mood!
